Basic Fire fightingTechniques,Fire Extinguishers–Typesandsuitability,Fire Hoses–typesandfittingsthereof,Foamandfoammakingequipments, Hydrant pumpsandprimersandfirehydrantsystems.
Unit –II
TankCoolingsystems, powers,sprinklersetc.,IC EnginesandFire crashtender, Fire Alarmsystems, Air craftandshipfires,Buildingconstruction– Fireprevention methodology–Rescue &escapesystems.
Unit –III
Chemistryof combustion, Typesof firesandextinguishingmethods,Fixedfire fightinginstallations,Major fire fightingappliancesandspecialinstallations.
Unit – IV
Fire– smoke andflame detectors,Storage&handlingof flammable,explosive materials&transportation,Firstaidforburns, Usageofbasic FF appliances, Electricalandchemicalfiresandtheir prevention.

PPE’sfor fire fighting–proximitysuitsetc.,Firesinair–craft& shipprevention, Fire rescue &escapetechniques,Fundamentalsofbuildingdesign –civilengineering fromfirepreventionpoint, NationalandInternational codesonfire.
